Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball seems to prefer experimenting with loud colour combos and unique details when it comes to his signature sneakers. So far, the spectrum includes everything from trippy designs inspired by Dexter’s Lab to a bold green pair that looks just like Nickelodeon’s signature slime. That said, this dreamy “MarshMelo” custom by Isidore Studio (@isidorestudio) is probably one of the Puma MB.03s most fitting themes yet: marshmallows.

Many fans know Ball by his nickname “Melo”. It’s a name he’s fully embraced since his NBA debut in 2020. So, the ‘MarshMelo’ theme Isidore Studio tapped into is a clever way to honour the ballers nickname.

You’ll immediately notice the sneaker takes on an array of marshmallow-inspired hues. You’ll find the slime-inspired rubber outsole done in soft white, while the midsole slowly transitions into a subtle icy blue.

From there, the upper transitions into the colour of everybody’s favourite marshmallow flavour (don’t even fight it). A subtle pink shade slowly deepens into a darker strawberry pink as it reaches the tongue and collar.

Coordinating laces and an inner lining mimic the strawberry-flavour theme, while the signature scratch cutouts bring back the clean white details present on the sole unit.

The finishing touch to this tantalising colourway is LaMelo Ball’s signature logo painted on the tongue in white with gold trimming surrounding it. Most of the baller’s other branding elements also receive a gold touch.

Unfortunately, these stunning sneakers already have a forever home. Spurs forward Sidy Cissoko is the lucky owner of these beauties.

But if you’re feeling inspired, you could always grab your own pair of MB.03 sneakers (or any other silhouette you really love) and attempt to recreate the dreamy design yourself.

The “MarshMelo” theme was painted on the otherworldly “Iridescent” PUMA MB.03. We’d say the colourway serves as the perfect base for this stunning artwork or any custom design you have in mind.

If you aren’t any good with a paintbrush, you could contact the gifted Isi for a completely unique custom pair. You definitely won’t regret having a custom pair made by this talented artist.

We also recommend taking some time to explore the other mesmerising designs this creative has crafted. Isi has transformed everything from LeBron’s to Kobe’s with the most delicate gradient designs and colour palettes.

While you wait to get your hands on a custom pair from this incredible artist, why not check out the striking pink MB.03 from Lamelo’s official releases?
