The Air Max 1 is undeniably a favourite among sneaker enthusiasts. This legendary silhouette has graced us with numerous stunning colourways over the years—quite a few in pink, too. While this year we’ve been treated to fabulous designs like the “Playful Pink” and “Aster Pink”, that doesn’t mean we’re not thrilled to welcome unique custom creations like the Air Max 1 “Pink Croco” by Josneaks with open arms. Its name alone brings a thrill—especially when you hear it in your head with a distinct Aussie accent! But the unique crocodile texture paired with cheerful pink hues truly sets this pair apart.

A Closer Look at the Sneaker Design

When you think of crocodiles, a delicate pink hue might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Nevertheless, this unique colourway adds a playful charm to the classic Air Max 1 design.

Of course, the name isn’t solely inspired by the colour scheme. The “Croco” refers to the crocodile-textured leather used on the shoe, lending these kicks their luxurious and exotic appeal.

The upper features elegant grey textured leather overlays contrasted against a smooth, crisp white leather base. Moving towards the mudguard and heel area, you’ll notice the crocodile leather subtly accented with a pink hue. This delicate tint beautifully elevates the design with a touch of colour, presenting an appearance like the leather has been gently brushed with light pink. Whether this gentle ombre effect results from dyeing remains undisclosed, but it undoubtedly adds a beautiful touch to the overall look.

The iconic Nike Swoosh on the sides of the shoe also receives a similar pink treatment. These accents blend perfectly with the pink touches on the white inner lining and the vibrant pink trim on the sneaker’s white tongue.

Additionally, the shoe edging is coloured in a bold pink hue. It’s this meticulous attention to colour coordination that makes these “Pink Crocos” even more of a beauty.

The midsole is a crisp white, contrasted by a bright pink outsole that seamlessly ties together the overall design. And, of course, there’s the signature Air Unit in the heel of the midsole, adorned with a hint of delicate pink.

These kicks strike the perfect balance between femininity and sportiness, making them even more of a must-have in our eyes.
