Every year, Jordan Brand creates some seriously sought-after and exclusive sneakers for its athletes, affiliate colleges and close friends of the Jumpman. While ordinary sneakerheads might find it hard to get their hands on these limited-edition sneakers, we can still admire their beauty from afar. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of our favourite exclusive Jordan sneakers from the last five years so that we can all admire their artistry together.
Carmelo Anthony’s “Melo” Air Jordan 2 Player Exclusive Pack
The Air Jordan 2 may be one of the most divisive models in the Jordan series, but we can all agree that Carmelo Anthony’s player-exclusive pack is well worth the hype. The bundle includes two pairs of Air Jordan 2s, one reflecting the colours of the Denver Nuggets, where he began his NBA career, and the other paying homage to his time with the New York Knicks. The sneakers also includes gold highlights to commemorate Anthony’s Olympic gold medals.
Eminem x Air Jordan 3 “Super Bowl” Player Exclusive
Being a world-renowned rapper has plenty of perks. For Eminem, it’s a steady stream of exclusive Jordan sneakers, including a pair of “Fire Red” Air Jordan 3 sneakers worn during his Super Bowl LVI halftime show in 2022. The design boasts white leather uppers, grey elephant print detailing, and red embellishments. Of course, Jordan Brand threw in unique details in honour of the rapper like a reverse “E” logo, an embroidered Jason Mask, a Shady Records logo, and a Slim Shady name tag. So, while these are basically glorified “Fire Red” Jordan 3s, the details make all the difference.
Air Jordan 3 “RTNA” – One of Jordan Brand’s Most Experimental Designs
Jordan Brand has produced some pretty awe-inspiring designs over the years, and their Air Jordan 3 RTNA is arguably one of the most inventive on the roster. The sneaker is covered in a thin RTNA coating that selectively reflects certain wavelengths of light, resulting in an iridescent appearance across the upper. But the design also aims to enhance environmental sustainability by using recycled cork insoles and Nike’s eco-friendly Grind technology for the outsole.
“First Class” Air Jordan 4 PE – The Ultra-Lux WNBA Exclusive
It’s hard to beat the luxe look of the AJ4 design created specifically for WNBA players in 2024. These sneakers are considered extremely rare, with only 50 pairs thought to exist. The design features sage green uppers, metallic gold dubraes, luxurious gold aglets on the laces, and a two-sided tag that resembles a luggage tag. However, the most striking element is the captivating diamonds set into the shoes gilded Jumpman emblems, replacing the standard no-bling basketball.
Howard University Air Jordan 4 PE – A Championship-Level College Exclusive
Jordan Brand’s college PEs for 2024 all take cues from the above AJ 4 “First Class” PE. However, while the designs are all similar, Howard University’s colourway definitely adds an extra kick to the look. Think navy textured stingray leather, plush suede, and metallic gold branding. Not to mention, these pairs have golden hangtags with the Howard Bison logos and the Jumpman’s signature basketball replaced with sparkling diamonds. These are undeniably luxe.
UNC Air Jordan 9 PE – A Tribute to Michael Jordan’s Alma Mater
Michael Jordan’s longstanding ties to the University of North Carolina have ensured that the athletic programme receives top-tier PEs from the company, and their Air Jordan 9 UNC PE from 2024 does not fall short of that title. This gorgeous sneaker has a white leather base, University Blue patent leather running along the mudguard and heel, plus navy blue details on the midsole, tongue tags and inner lining. These sneakers definitely rank among the most striking AJ9s to date.
Jordan Brand Classic Air Jordan 9 PE – A Rare Pandemic-Era Exclusive
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted a number of the Jumpman Label’s yearly events, including the Jordan Brand Classic. Despite the events cancellation that didn’t stop JB from gifting the athletes a limited edition Air Jordan 9 PE featuring white uppers, bright pink branding, and, most notably, iridescent midsole tooling and eyestay hardware. You may have even spotted these kicks on court as renowned baller and sneakerhead PJ Tucker managed to get his hands on this special pair and wore them during Game 23 of the Houston Rockets matchup against the Charlotte Hornets in 2021.
“Chrome” Air Jordan 11 PE – The Shiny Championship Celebration Pair
Mirror, mirror on the wall—who’s got the freshest kicks of them all? After the Denver Nuggets won the 2022–2023 NBA Championship, Jordan Brand gifted their athletes a “Chrome” Air Jordan 11 PE with a dazzling mirror-like finish. The shoes feature silver patent leather uppers, crisp white accents, icy translucent outsoles, and a black metallic Jumpman on the heel. Ultimately, these details combine to create an incredibly stunning pair of player-exclusive sneakers.
Michigan Wolverines Air Jordan 12 PE – A CFP Championship Tribute
In 2024, the Michigan Wolverines won their first CFP National Championship since 1997, and Jordan Brand celebrated by gifting players and faculty a special edition Air Jordan 12 PE. The sneakers offer sleek navy pebbled leather uppers with matching suede mudguards, vivid yellow branding, golden hardware and a crisp white sole. Jayson Tatum’s “Mustang” Air Jordan 14 Player Exclusive
Jordan Brand athlete Jayson Tatum has an impressive array of player-exclusive sneakers, but his red and black Air Jordan 14 PEs from 2022 may be our favourite. Tatum’s custom 1966 Ford Mustang served as inspiration for the designs, which boast soft suede uppers, quilted leather panels, and chrome piping. Also included are chrome lateral ankle badges that feature the baller’s name for an extra touch of personalisation.
Oregon Ducks Air Jordan 14 PE – One of the Rarest College Jordans
The University of Oregon are well-known for their beautiful Jordan PEs, and the Air Jordan 14 design from 2022 is undoubtedly one of their best exclusive designs in the last five years. These sneakers have grey suede side panels and toe boxes, light grey leather overlays and green accents throughout. And let’s not overlook the unique Oregon Duck badges on the sides. Only 275 pairs of the sneakers were made and presented to the Oregon Ducks football team, so we’ll probably only ever dream about owning one.
