As with most sneaker brands, the modern trend of collaborating with various brands and artists has also become a niche for the brand. 2024 saw various choices across the classic Vans portfolio, partnering with a few high-profile celebs and brands. That trend continues into 2025 with their latest collab for the Vans x Nicole McLaughlin pack.

The latest pack is the second partnership between Vans and designer Nicole McLaughlin, having debuted the first in 2024. This latest collab sees another refresh of a classic from the Vans archives, the Slip-On RS.

The team has explored the upcycling theme with playful creations, transforming everyday materials into multi-functional designs. This is the core of the ingenuity from the collection, which has been built for adventure and creativity, allowing wearers to explore their own upstyling ideas.

The Slip-On RS has been reinvented with its iconic styling, which includes a built-in rucksack pocket on the toe with adjustable nylon webbing. Additionally, the sneakers are manufactured with 40% recycled materials for the canvas upper, which has also been treated with PFC-free DWR waterproofing. This gives the sneakers a rugged touch alongside its creative design.

In addition to the sneakers, the collection also features the Vans x Nicole McLaughlin Rucksock. It is crafted from 80% organic cotton with a built-in cargo pocket for added function. The collection is completed with a Rucksock.

The collection is surprisingly fresh, creating a perfectly designed look for the outdoors. Who said rugged outdoor sneakers need to be mundane?

Get your hands on the latest Vans x Nicole McLaughlin creation, the Slip-On RS, this week from 27 February 2025. The sneakers will be available in two colourways, Tanl and Grey. The rucksack and rucksock accessories are available in an Oatmeal colourway. Each of the items is available online at Vans.co.za and at select retailers.
