Now that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is creeping closer and closer to release, there have been so many awesome (and some mediocre) sneaker designs inspired by the game’s story, namely that Venom is making an appearance that has long been teased. But what about Venom in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse universe? Here at Fortress of Solitude, we have you covered. Behold, the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Air Jordan 1 sneakers are being taken over by Venom.
Before Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out, Nike dropped this epic pair of sneakers that had the most epic glow-in-the-dark outsoles, shared the epic style of the movies, and was undeniably the best pair of sneakers you could have if you love Spider-Man or the movie franchise. Brandon Krige, here at Fortress of Solitude, went to town to create a beautiful custom concept for this pair.

The back of the sneaker remains largely the same, with tweaks and touches that are perfectly placed so that the sneaker is still recognisable as the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse pair but Venomised.
Starting from the bottom, the red glow-in-the-dark outsole had been replaced by its complete opposite, with inky black outsoles. Like Venom’s eyes and teeth, the midsole perfectly juxtaposes the black with stark white.

The red leather mudguard has been replaced with black, as has much of the front of the sneakers. The black continues the soft leather top of the perforated toe box, continues up the lace unit for the lower and middle lace stays, and has swallowed the red laces to replace them with black.
The tongue remains white, but the label has been transformed, perfectly representing the symbiote taking over the sneakers.
The back of the sneakers remain the same as the original, from the white midsection, the red heel counter, and the bubble and pop art that appears on the panel that wraps around the ankle, the black Nike Swoosh of the original sneaker… but you can definitely see Venom starting to take over. You can see the inky tendrils of Venom’s Symbiotic form starting to stretch over the white and red sections of the sneakers, spreading out from almost every black surface of the sneakers, even from the original patent leather section of the ankle collar.

Considering Venom is famously different depending on his current host, it would be super interesting to see what the Miles Morales version of Venom would look like, especially since he has been teased for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release on the 20th of October, a mere two days from now, so buckle up and get ready for what is sure to be one of the decade’s most extraordinary video game adventures.
