Back in 2021, adidas announced its partnership with Marvel. This brought us the adidas X Marvel collaboration, the first of which included the X-Men collection for its football range. adidas has extended its partnership with Marvel with the release of the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever film.

The new collection will feature a mix of gear. This includes both footwear and apparel, across different sports, such as running, football and general exercising. Each of the pieces within the collection has been inspired by the clothing worn in the film, whether it be Shuri’s outfits or Okoye’s armour. These pieces feature tech-centric designs for which Wakanda is known.
As such, the primary colours for the collection feature black, purple and gold hues with touches of white for the detailing. The collection of apparel includes graphic tees, hoodies, shorts, leggings and more. Furthermore, the accessories include hats, bags, socks and keeper gloves.

There is a wide range of pieces from the collection. For the footwear range, it includes the following:

- Adizero Ubersonic 4
- Impact FLX
- Ultraboost 5.0 DNA
- SL20.3
- Response Super 3.0
- Adizero 12.0 Boots
- Adizero Primeknit Boots
- Freak Spark Boots
- Freak Ultra Boots
- Gamemode Firm Ground Boots
Although it has not yet been confirmed, it seems that the Ultra 4D shoes may be the only footwear reaching South Africa.

Furthermore, It’ll be available exclusively as part of the adidas Members Week for AdiClub members via the adidas app, starting 30 September 2022 up to 6 October. Lastly, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theatres starting 11 November 2022.
