Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 14 is something special, even if it doesn’t get the same love as the 1, 3, 4, and 8s. Still, among fans of the sneaker brand, it’s a respected sneaker that you’ll find in most collections – especially when it comes in the right colorway. The Air Jordan 14 “Graphite Chartreuse” is definitely the right colorway. After being left in the vault for nearly two decades (the last time it dropped was 2005), we’re finally getting another retro in 2027.
In 2005, Jordan was still experimenting a bit with the Air Jordan 14. The “Graphite Chartreuse” was the result of some of that experimentation. And for fans, it immediately stood out. Just take a look at that muted Light Graphite upper, the subtle green and black accents… in full nubuck (not the usual leather)… this is a beautiful sneaker that deserves a lot of attention.

But it does come with a bit of history, too. See, the Air Jordan 14 “Graphite Chartreuse” was actually the first Air Jordan 14 ever to get the retro treatment. That makes it unique.
Hopefully, nothing much changes in the 2027 release. We haven’t gotten eyes on the pair yet, but sneakerheads are expecting the same grey upper. And the same Ferrari-inspired midsole, of course.
Yes, there might be some modern tweaks. Usually, Jordan Brand alters the shape of the sneakers a little. Just to make it feel more modern. But those are changes we are mostly okay with.
Of course, X‘s sneakerheads had a lot to say about the re-release of the Air Jordan 14 “Graphite Chartreuse”, too. “Been waiting for these more than any other retro,” wrote one user. “Give me two pairs,” another cheered. Seems like everyone is excited about this release.
The 2027 drop will probably go straight to the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers. We’re still a long way from a price tag reveal, but it should probably cost the same as most Jordans. If you missed out in 2005, here’s your shot.
