These Air Jordan 4 ‘Spider-Verse’ Concept Sneakers Look Straight Out of the Multiverse

Forget great power — with these Air Jordan 4 “Spider-Verse” kicks, comes great drip. Miles Morales would web-sling straight into Foot Locker for a pair.

A ton of really stunning Spider-Man-inspired sneakers have slowly been added to the growing collection of Spider-Verse options. The latest is a magnificent pair of Air Jordan 4 “Spider-Verse” sneakers, including the classic red, blue, black and white colourway of our favourite web-slinging Spider-people.

Starting from the bottom, the sneakers have an exciting and multi-coloured outsole, starting with grey on the toe before transitioning to black rubber. The black rubber makes up most of the outsole before transitioning to a deep and beautiful red on the outsole’s heel.

Of course, besides the support wings, the Air Jordan 4 silhouette is well-known and loved for including a clear window in the heel unit that shows the Air technology that made the Air Jordan line famous. The housing for the clear unit is white rather than matching any of the colours of the outsole.

The white of the housing unit then transitions into a white mid-sole section that is pock-marked and speckled all over by black paint marks and flecks, adding a bit of visual intrigue to the otherwise plain and relatively colour-blocked sole unit.

Moving up onto the upper of the sneakers, the majority of the sneakers are blanketed by a base of black mesh before transitioning to different-patterned mesh that appears in red and an almost electric blue. The mesh appears on the inserts on the quarter of the shoe and the toe box. The colours alternate from the left sneaker to the right, with red appearing on the left toe box and a blue-to-red gradient appearing on the right toe box.

From there, the quarter of both sneakers is a stunning electric blue mesh with a grid-like pattern incorporated into the mesh rather than as an overlay, as you would typically see on a pair of Air Jordan 4 sneakers.

The collar area is a much more exciting mesh, incorporating blue, red, and white into the weave against a black base. This really brings out the detail of the sneakers.

It wouldn’t be a pair of Air Jordan 4 sneakers without any support wings. The ones on this pair have black anchors before moving into a matt red support wing, allowing wearers to lace their sneakers multiple ways.

Air Jordan 4 "Spider-Man" Sneakers

I’d love to be able to give you a release date for when you can expect these stunning Spider-Verse Air Jordan 4 sneakers to hit shelves and online outlets, but unfortunately (or at least for now), these sneakers are merely a beautiful custom concept that was imagined by our very own Jarrod Saunders at Fortress of Solitude.

If you are looking for official Spider-Man-inspired Nike sneakers, look no further than the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Air Jordan 1 sneakers or even this beautiful pair of Nike Air Jordan Max Plus “Spider-Man”.

Alternatively, if you want to look at some of the other customs we have created for characters in the Spider-Man universe, look at these stunning Venom Air Jordan 1 sneakers for the Spider-Verse, made by our illustrious designer, Brandon Krige.
