Bad Bunny continues his journey through adidas’ iconic sneaker lineup. Having showcased his fashionable flair on the Forum Low, Response CL, and recently, The Last Campus, Benito has now turned his collaborative energies to the Gazelle model. While most of us are still eagerly anticipating the release of his “White/Gum” version, there’s already a significant buzz around his next project: the Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor “San Juan”.

A Closer Look at the Sneaker

The “San Juan” colourway is inspired by the blue skies, cobblestone streets, and sun-kissed beaches of Bad Bunny’s hometown in Puerto Rico. Consequently, the design showcases a palette of varying shades of blue, with leather dominating the upper, while a light blue short-haired suede adds a luxurious touch to the toe and heel.

The cobblestone themes transition beautifully onto the grey suede eyestays, which break up the white hues of the three stripes logo, tongue, and laces. Finally, the sole unit is crafted from grippy gum rubber, mimicking the look of San Juan’s sands.

But it’s more than just colours and materials. Bad Bunny has added an intriguing asymmetric twist to the T-toe overlays, giving the shoe a truly distinctive look. And the innovations continue beyond there.

The sneaker showcases a doubled-up tongue construction, now a hallmark of Bad Bunny’s adidas collaborations. Additionally, the heel sports an exterior size tag, a detail usually reserved for the sneaker’s interior. The pièce de résistance is the San Juan branding on the lateral side, elegantly debossed in gold foil.

Without a doubt, this design could be our favourite collaboration between Bad Bunny and adidas yet. Now, the only challenge is snagging a pair in our size.

Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor “San Juan” Release Details

If you’re as eager to grab this special edition of the adidas Gazelle as we are, remember the date: June 23, 2024. This pair will be released at adidas.com and select retailers for a retail price of $140 USD.

As we await the drop of these gems, don’t miss out on the Fear of God Athletics One “Black Toe”, coming later in 2024, or the return of the Kobe 2, now rebranded as the Crazy 2s, set for release next year. And remember to stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more updates on sneaker drops and reviews.
