Caitlin Clark is back this summer in 2026. And while her first signature Nike sneaker is still hard to get, something just slipped through past all the red tape: The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Coconut Milk”.
Images floating around Instagram, courtesy of @prm.cotd, show a softer, cleaner take on Caitlin Clark Kobe 5 in a new colorway called “Coconut Milk” – basically a creamy tone that’s wrapped around the toe box, side panels and the heel.
But it’s not all minimalist. There’s a touch of greenish-blue (apparently called Midnight Spruce Green) along the eyelets and the midsole. And there’s also that University Red on the tongue alongside Kobe Bryant’s logo.
What makes the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Coconut Milk” even more interesting is how it showed up. Serbian guard Carlik Jones wore the sneakers in the EuroLeague before Caitlin Clark even wore them publicly. He dropped 26 points and 6 assists in the process, which isn’t a bad way to introduce a sneaker that wasn’t supposed to be seen yet. “Got to wear the Caitlin Clarks before Caitlin Clark,” one Instagram comment wrote.
Nike hasn’t announced an official release date yet, but the word on the street is June 2026, priced at $190, style code IZ1852-100. Expect both men’s and women’s sizing, which makes sense given Clark’s appeal.
Oh, and in case you’re still wondering, her signature shoe is still coming. And it’s supposedly packed with a ton of new tech.
Until then, this Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Coconut Milk” is the next Caitlin Clark sneaker you’ve got to chase.
