Sneaker artist John Trottier has some pretty impressive designs showcased on his Instagram page. But his “Hand-Carved” Air Jordan 1 Lux design might just be his crowning achievement.
A Closer Look at the Sneaker
The sneaker offers a touch of luxury with heaps of rugged charm. Think roughly textured tan suede for the base and hand-carved leather on the overlays.
The hand-carved leather is covered in ornate swirling patterns that remind us somewhat of the detailing on cowboy boots and belts. Which has us thinking: this would have been the perfect direction for Nike SB to take with their 2025 Dunk Low “Rodeo” design honouring the legacy of Black cowboys. Hopefully, we’ll get another take on the theme in the future.
