Although we are all too familiar with Nike’s popular “Panda” Dunks by now, this bespoke shoe by Mr. Simply Custom goes beyond the typical black and white theme with a design inspired by Kung Fu Panda’s own PO.
A Closer Look At The Design
The sneaker starts off in much the same way as your typical ‘Panda’ Dunk: toe box, quarter panels and heels in white leather and black leather overlays. But this custom design does take some liberties with the colour blocking. For instance, grey shading is added across the upper to recreate the characters’ shadowing, and the ankle flap is painted to look like patchwork fabric to capture the look of PO’s tattered trousers. But that’s not all.
The shoe’s sides have mini pictures of a tomato and paw, which, if we were to guess, possibly allude to his love of food and the Paws of Destiny cartoon series. Plus, if you look really closely, you can spot a reference to the bandages he wears on his legs along the collar. So, if you’ve been looking for a unique and creative twist on the classic Nike “Panda” Dunks—and if you love Kung Fu Panda, of course—this custom design is definitely worth considering.

Right now, the Mr. S Custom website is offering this themed version of the Panda Dunks for $335 USD. However, production time for each pair is estimated to be 6-8 weeks, so there will be a wait before you can rock your custom kicks.
