Think about any significant Marvel superhero, and chances are Stan Lee had a hand in creating them. Thor, Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk—the list just goes on and on. But, as much as we love and cherish his creations, we equally admire the legend who brought them to life. That’s why Daryin Enriquez and ReverseLand collaborated to bring fans a one-of-a-kind “Stan Lee” Nike SB Dunk Low inspired by this Marvel of a man.
A Closer Look At The Design
This incredible sneaker received the Top Vote for Honourable Mentions in ReverseLand and NikeSBorNothing’s Pop Culture design contest this year, demonstrating its sheer popularity.
The design includes tan leather overlays inspired by Stan Lee’s Funko Pop comic book cover and toy, as well as dark brown leather Swooshes that represent the colour of his iconic vintage Cartier Vendome sunglasses. On the base of the shoe, there is a flawlessly printed fabric covered with classic comic book panels, as well as insoles that highlight some of the most notable moments in Stan Lee’s life and career. And let’s not forget his “’nuff said” statement stitched on the heels. And to tie everything together? Co-branding on the tongue and a sail and tan sole unit below. Perfection in sneaker form.
