Nike’s Dunk Low “Abominable Snowman” Sneakers Are Fur Real

Nike turns the Dunk Low into a snowy playground with the “Abominable Snowman,” complete with faux fur, frosted logos, and a plush keychain.

In recent years, the customs market has been flooded with creators who have given colorful, fluffy treatments to Nike Dunk Lows and Air Jordan 1s. Thankfully, Nike is now taking those concepts and ideas and making them official with the Nike Dunk Low “Abominable Snowman.” But before you get too excited, there’s actually one problem: this release is again strictly for younger kids.

The Nike Dunk Low “Abominable Snowman” comes in a Celestine Blue, White, and Green Abyss colorway, with faux-fur overlays that represent the yeti’s shaggy white and blue coat. The base isn’t completely lost in the fluff, though – like a lot of customs are.

The Nike logos on the tongue and heel have a frosted finish, like they’ve been caught in a snowstorm, while the inner tongue reads “make your own tracks.” It’s a little reminder for the young sneaker fans who will be lacing these up this colder holiday season.

But Nike didn’t stop at just the actual sneakers. So, with each pair, you also get a plush keychain shaped like a cute little yeti with perked-up ears and that same fuzzy coat. It’s pretty obvious that Nike has been peeking over at the Labubu lineup for inspiration with this drop. Kids can clip the yeti keychain onto their sneakers, bags or hang it somewhere at home.

The Dunk Low “Abominable Snowman” is part of Nike’s holiday offerings. Every year we get sneakers for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Halloween, Mother’s Day and such. For example, Kevin Durant’s KD 18 is getting a skeleton-themed Halloween update this year, while Ja Morant’s Ja 3 will glow in the dark as a “Zombie” edition. They’re really cool releases that fans love to collect.

For adults who were hoping to snag a pair of the Nike Dunk Low “Abominable Snowman”, however, we have disappointing news. The sneaker (style code IM7170-441) is set to release in preschool sizes only at $120. They’ll be available online from the Nike store and select retailers. If you dig these, also check out the Nike SB Dunk Low x Grateful Dead “Panda Bears”, The Verdy x Nike SB Dunk Low “Visty”, and the Nike Grateful Dead SB Dunk.
