Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 10 has always carried a little bit of drama with it. First released in 1994 while MJ was out chasing a baseball career, the sneaker ended up telling a story no one could’ve predicted. By the time Jordan faxed the famous two-word “I’m back” press release in March 1995, the Air Jordan 10 had already been stamped with his career highlights across its outsole.
Now, after years of waiting, the “Shadow” Air Jordan 10 is officially making its return on November 19, 2025, with Nike confirming a $210 retail price. And yes, sneakerheads are already circling the date. “Need these because I need a dark shoe,” one fan posted on X, while another added, “Something looks off about them but still copping.” Nostalgia wins again.

The 2025 “Shadow” stays close to its 1994 roots, blending grey nubuck with black leather and sprinkling in Bulls-red Jumpman logos on the heel and outsole. The outsole, of course, still highlights Jordan’s accolades up to the point of his first retirement. What’s missing is the personalized “45” embroidery he wore briefly during his comeback games, a detail last seen in the 2008 Countdown Pack. That pack, which paired the 10s with a set of 13s to equal the magic number 23, was the first retro release of this colorway. A lighter patterned liner and stitched “23” gave that version its own twist. The second retro came in 2018, and the next one lands this November.
What makes this drop especially interesting is Jordan Brand’s nod to the past quirks of Tinker Hatfield’s design. Early versions of the Air Jordan 10 featured a leather toe cap, something Jordan himself asked to be removed. That detail came back briefly on last year’s “Steel” retro, and rumors suggested it could return here as well. Instead, the “Shadow” 2025 appears more faithful to the original sample pairs, complete with the checkered liner and without the stitched numbers.

The upcoming Air Jordan 10 “Shadow” release might not reinvent anything, but it’s proof that some sneakers don’t need reinvention. They just need to show up again, give people a shot at history, and remind everyone that even during retirement, Jordan’s sneakers were still making headlines.
