Nesquik Nike Dunks Are A Sweet Treat

The Nesquik x Nike SB Dunk Low Is A Sweet Treat

We love custom sneakers that are inspired by all kinds of sweet treats, like the beautiful custom Ben & Jerry’s SB Dunk Low “Neapolitan” by prolific custom designer @johnyskicks_ and the decadent Red Velvet Cake Nike Air Force 1s by @shoebakery. Still, we had yet to see any treats inspired by sweet drinks until one of our favourite designers, @dope_don_designs, came along with his Nesquik 2.0 x Nike SB Dunk Low sneakers.

No, you aren’t reading that wrong. These are the 2.0 designs. There is a prototype, but when we looked at the two, we decided that these were our favourites and the ones we wanted to share with you. If you want to see the prototype design, let us know. For now, let’s focus on this stunning pair.

The Nesquik 2.0 x Nike SB Dunk Low sneakers are based on two of the world’s most-loved milk flavours, strawberry and chocolate, with the right sneaker representing the former and the left sneaker representing the latter.

Despite representing different flavours, most of the sneaker is the same due to the shared Nesquik branding of both flavours. The shared elements include white laces that match the white leather that wraps around the ankle just below the collar.

The heel tabs of both sneakers have bright yellow Nike branding that matches the Nesquik container’s yellow and the leather panelling throughout the pair. The light blue background of the heel tab matches the leather base of the upper, found on both the quarter of the left and right sneaker and the perforated toe box.

The quarter and the toe box both feature the animated-like shading or shadow effect that @dope_don_designs loves putting on their custom designs to emulate shadows and depth. The last detail shared between both sneakers is a dark blue that makes up the Nesquik branding near the mudguard.

Looking at the strawberry side, the outsole, lace stays and the inner part of the Nike Swoosh are a light, bubblegum-like pink. At the same time, the midsole and the tongue are an even lighter cotton candy-like shade. The inner lining, the Nike logo on the tongue label and the dripping border of the Nike Swoosh are a clear strawberry pink, like on the Nesquik packaging.

Looking at the chocolate side, the colour lightnesses follow a similar pattern as the strawberry side, with the outsole, the lace stays and the Nike Swoosh being a colour like chocolate cake, the midsole and the tongue being a much lighter brown like butter-cream icing, and the inner lining as well as the dripping border of the Nike Swoosh being a more typical chocolate brown, comparable to what is on the Nesquik packaging.

While it might be an odd pairing, Nesquik and sneakers, food-inspired apparel, has seen a significant rise in popularity, so this may be the next pair to reach new heights. Now, excuse me, I’m going to go and get myself some strawberry Nesquik.

Would you wear these as a pair? If not, do you prefer the strawberry or the chocolate-inspired Nesquik 2.0 x Nike SB Dunk Low sneaker?
