Forget Superman, Iron Man, or Batman; your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is arguably the most popular superhero in the world, especially when it comes to custom sneaker designs. Over the years, we’ve likely covered dozens of Spidey-themed sneakers, nearly everyone doused in the web-slinging hero’s signature red and blue hues. However, Scott Hunter’s (@think.scott) Spider-Man Nike Dunk Low stands out with a surprisingly unique and refreshing spin on the web-slinging hero’s iconic style.

A Closer Look At The Design
Although the sneaker artist hasn’t completely abandoned the traditional red and blue colour palette, he has used a good amount of white to offer a clean and well-balanced look.
The base of the shoe is a vivid red colour with light web detailing placed throughout the toe box and quarter panels. A crimson underlay is also visible just beneath the brilliant blue Swooshes that decorate the shoe’s side. From there, light blue overlays the toe, heel counter, and midsole, with a more modest appearance on the tongue.
Next, white is used to dress the collar, tongue, eyestays, and upper portion of the ankle flap for a fresh touch. The look is then completed with a white outsole featuring red accents and a small blue check logo stitched on the toe.
The colour placement on the sneaker may be striking and unusual, yet it still speaks to the design of the hero we all know and love.
