Reebok, in collaboration with Warner Bros. and DC, has unveiled an impressive sneaker collection inspired by the highly anticipated superhero film Wonder Woman 1984. This cool collaboration marries Reebok’s iconic 1980s sneaker silhouettes with the vibrant and dynamic essence of the movie, offering DC fans a chance to step into the shoes of their favourite superheroes and villains. But that’s not all. The brand has also collaborated with COVID-19 workers as the faces of the Reebok x Wonder Woman campaign.
The sneaker collection spotlights the neon-infused aesthetic of the ’80s, incorporating elements that are both nostalgic and futuristic. Among the standout features of the sneakers are iridescent materials, a homage to the era’s fascination with shimmer and shine, alongside double denim and bold animal prints that capture WW84‘s adventurous spirit.
Central to the collection is the Reebok Wonder Woman Freestyle Hi, a model that dazzles with holographic gold leather uppers and is adorned with the iconic film logo and whimsical gold wings. It’s meant to encapsulate the essence of Wonder Woman’s valour and style.
In contrast, the Reebol Cheetah Freestyle Hi draws inspiration from the film’s villain, Cheetah, with design elements like a cheetah pony hair tongue and a snakeskin heel that reflect her fierce personality and style.
The collection also features a reinterpretation of the classic Reebok Club C85, designed with a holographic colour and a cloud sock liner that evokes images of Wonder Woman soaring through the skies. The denim and neon-infused ’80s Workout Plus pays tribute to the film’s decade, adding a retro flair to the lineup.
Two versions of the Classic Leathers add depth to the WW84 Reebok sneaker collection. One is a nod to Cheetah’s journey from a scientist to a formidable villain, featuring canvas, linen, and cotton materials combined with a textural cheetah print symbolizing her transformation. The other Classic Leather design pays tribute to Wonder Woman’s iconic armour, with gold leather uppers and translucent rubber outsoles that symbolize her unyielding strength and heroism.

The Reebok x Wonder Woman 1984 sneaker collection caters to a wide audience, offering unisex, women’s, and kid’s sizes. This ensures that fans of all ages can embrace their inner superhero or villain. The collection launched on September 17 and will be available for purchase through Reebok.com and Amazon.com, making it accessible to a global audience eager to celebrate the release of Wonder Woman 1984.
This collaboration between Reebok and the creators of WW84 is a tribute to the enduring legacy of one of DC’s most beloved characters. I imagine both sneaker collectors and DC fans will get a kick out of wearing these. While the film hasn’t gotten favourable reviews, the merch is still worth celebrating.
Personally, I could probably only see myself wearing the two Reebok Classic Leather sneakers (inspired by Wonder Woman’s armour and Cheetah’s transformation from a scientist to a villain). The Reebok ’80s Workout Plus isn’t a bad option either. However, the Reebok Cheetah Freestyle Hi and Reebok Wonder Woman Freestyle Hi are probably more for dedicated fans – a bit too on the nose for me, personally.
