In 2017, Warner Bros. released the much-lauded first Wonder Woman film, starring Gal Gadot. A year after the film’s release, international sneaker brand, Reebok announced its partnership with Gadot as a brand ambassador.
Almost immediately fans started salivating over a Reebok and Wonder Woman collaboration in the future.
Queue 2020, when Reebok has partnered with Warner Bros. to bring you that collab – the Reebok X Wonder Woman collection featuring the WW84 sneaker range.
The WW84 pack celebrates the latest addition to the film franchise, the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 film.
The WW84 sneakers are based on the Reebok Classic Leather sneakers, with various design elements and materials to pay homage to the themes from the film.
There is a wide range of sneakers available in South Africa for the release. The drop focuses on two of those sneakers, a gold-themed sneaker and punk-themed sneaker.
The first of the sneakers from the release is the metallic gold colourway, inspired by Wonder Woman’s gold suit as in the posters for the film.
The metallic gold upper featured a sheen, which reflects in the light. Along with an ice outsole gives the sneaker a bold aesthetic. The upper itself, even with the metallic look, is made of a soft and flexible material for a cushioned feel.
The same gold colourway has also inspired a few other collaborations recently.
The second pair features a fierce style to match your inner Wonder Woman. The sneaker has a punk-inspired design, a throwback to the ’80s era.
The upper is crafted from a soft leather material, which features wild accents and a mix of canvas and leather materials for a bold look. These elements include cheetah-inspired and checkerboard print details to turn up the volume as you hit the town.
The colourway for the sneaker is Coal / Night Black / Stucco.
Both sneakers also feature a rubber outsole for traction and durability while being worn.
Let your inner superhero out to save the day as you step out in style with the Reebok X Wonder Woman collection with the WW84 sneakers. The range of sneakers are available online at Reebok.co.za, as well as in-stores across the country
