This year marks 40 years since the debut of Michael Jordan’s first-ever signature silhouette. Since its 1985 release, the Air Jordan 1 has become one of the most recognisable and iconic sneakers in history, paving the way for the ongoing success of the Air Jordan brand. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the Jumpman Label is releasing a slew of striking Jordan 1 releases throughout 2025—so many, in fact, that it’s been hard to keep track. So, we’ve put together a list of the most anticipated pairs that will be released this year, from exclusive collaborations to fresh colourways and even coveted classic releases that are guaranteed to wow Jordanheads.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High ’85 OG “Bred”

One of the most iconic sneakers in Jordan Brand’s lineup, the classic Bred AJ 1s, was brought back in their familiar black and red leather look for the brand’s 40th anniversary this year. This release was one of the rarest Jordan 1 drops in recent memory, with only 10,000 pairs made available worldwide. But probably most important to sneakerheads, its construction is the most similar to that of the original 1985 release. More information about the Air Jordan 1 Retro High ’85 OG “Bred”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe Reimagined”

This year, the popular “Black Toe” Jordan 1s were reimagined to celebrate the model’s big 4-0. Despite maintaining the iconic black, varsity red, and white colour scheme from the original 1985 release, the pair also features several modifications that pay homage to the initial Air Jordan 1 High design that was never made available to the public. More information about the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe Reimagined”.
Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago/Shadow”

Union LA expanded on their Jordan 1 partnership from 2018 with a brand new design in the same distinctive style. This time around, the brand mashed up the famous red-and-white leather look of the Chicago with the Shadow’s grey and black ankle collar, paying homage to the process of disassembling Jordan 1 sneakers to repair original pairs. The Jordan 1 collab was released on February 27, 2025, for $200 USD, but it is rumoured to have another release on the SNKRS app in March. Air Jordan 1 High OG (Rare Air) “Cinnabar”

The Jumpman Label has a series of “Rare Air” releases planned for 2025, including a women’s exclusive design in a chic Sail, Cinnabar, and Light Bone colour scheme. The sneaker features a few notable changes to logo details as well as two sets of chenille laces that create a tantalising swirl. More information about the Air Jordan 1 High OG (Rare Air) “Cinnabar”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG (Rare Air) “Deep Royal Blue”

The men will also have their own exclusive “Rare Air” release in the form of the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Deep Royal Blue”. Similar to other pairs in the series, this unobtrusive combination of blue, black, grey, and white hides a surprise. The pair features wear-away detailing on the Swoosh and its own logo changes. More information about the Air Jordan 1 High OG (Rare Air) “Deep Royal Blue”.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year”

The popular “Rookie of the Year” AJ1 High will make a comeback in low-top form this year. The pair will have sail leather and nubuck overlays in golden harvest colours, creating the same premium look that was originally inspired by the tan jacket Michael Jordan wore to accept his ROTY Award at the NBA’s 1985 award ceremony. More information about the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC Reimagined”

The iconic “UNC” Jordan 1s will also be reimagined in the same style as 2022’s “Lost And Found” release. Expect cracked white leather on the uppers and an aged sole unit below to show signs of wear and tear typical of what a pair from 1985 would look like today. More information about the Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC Reimagined”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Shattered Backboard”

The orange and black jersey Michael Jordan wore during an exhibition game in Italy in 1986—during which he memorably broke the backboard while dunking—has inspired several Jordan releases over the years. However, the original design from 2015 is still the most popular. Fortunately, sneakerheads will have the opportunity to purchase a pair this year for lower than the outrageous resale prices, as Jordan Brand will be reintroducing the AJ 1 design in 2025 in its original black, sail, and starfish colour blocking. Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Low

Jordan Brand, Travis Scott, and Fragment Design will be releasing a follow-up to their Air Jordan 1 Low OG collaboration from 2021. Their second design features mostly sail leather with “Military Blue” accents throughout. Sneakerheads can also expect Fragment Design’s lightning bolt-styled logo on the right heel and Scott’s trademark smiley face branding on the left. More information about the Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Low.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Quai 54”

This year’s “Quai 54” AJ 1 release is one to remember. The brand has employed black, tour yellow, and a hint of chile red to create buzz (pun intended) around MJ’s first signature silhouette. To boost the style even further, the pair has distinct stitching details, Jordan and Quai 54 branding, and matching hang tags attached to the laces. More information about the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Quai 54”.
Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Stealth”

For summer 2025, Jordan Brand and Swarovski worked together to create a luxurious take on the Air Jordan 1 Low. Although the Austrian jewellers have embellished a number of Nike models over the years, including two Air Max Plus designs introduced last year, this will be their first entry into Jumpman territory. One of the two women’s exclusive designs that will be released this year is this stylish “Stealth” colourway. More information about the Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Stealth”.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago”

Joining the Jumpman Label’s blockbuster holiday offerings is the much-anticipated Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago” colourway. Since its last release in 2016, the price of this classic low-top style has skyrocketed on the resale market. So, it’s undoubtedly one to watch out for this year. More information about the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago”.
Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo Alternate”

After the immense popularity of Zion Williamson’s first “Voodoo” Air Jordan 1 Low OG release in 2022, Jordan Brand will be offering his special PE design to the public this year. Though it has darker tones of purple, blue, and black, this pair has the same details as its beloved counterpart. Expect the familiar creepy stitch details, the skull logo on the heel, and the inverted and upside-down branding of the original design. More information about the Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo Alternate”.
Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Vast Grey”

Swarovski and the Jumpman Label are working on a subsequent Air Jordan 1 design this year, a high-top silhouette in Vast Grey and Photon Dust. The women’s exclusive style will, of course, feature glittering gem accents throughout and a $1,000 USD price tag to match. More information about the Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Vast Grey”.
Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska”

The “Euro/White” Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG colourway, now known as the “Alaska” design, will also make a comeback this holiday 2025. It’s still unknown whether this release will be a faithful reissue of the “Euro” pair released in 2017, but details should unfold closer to the release date. More information about the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska”.
Union x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 High OG

Fragment and Jordan Brand have another three-way collaboration anticipated for this year, this time with Union LA joining the mix. Their AJ1 release will combine Union’s stitched-together design concept with Fragment’s characteristic blue tone, a colour we’ve seen them use often in their designs.
