After two decades in hibernation, the Nike Baltoro boot has awoken. The Stüssy x Nike Baltoro boot is officially back! Releasing October 10, this one’s for those sneakerheads who want to look cool while on a mountain trek, or at least pretend like they’ve just been on one.

Originally released in 1990 as part of Nike’s All Conditions Gear (ACG) line, the Baltoro was made to handle all sorts of weather conditions like mud, snow, and any other one of the elements that made sneakerheads nervous. Back then, it was a bit of a Frankenstein shoes. A mix of hiking tech and sneaker tech, with loud colours and thick soles, it popped up very briefly in 2005 before vanishing. Until now.

Of course Stüssy is the perfect brand to dig it back up out of the Nike archives. The California streetwear brand is known for taking forgotten shoes and making them cool again. They did it with the Spiridon Cage 2. They did it with the Air Max 2013. And now they’ve set their eyes on the Nike Baltoro boot.

The good news is that the Stüssy x Nike Baltoro boot arrives in four colourways: Black, Beige, British Tan, and Safety Orange. The first three play with rugged textures like suede and nylon, while the Black pair is a full leather shoe. A small design tweak turns this from “dad’s hiking boot” to a Stüssy must-have product. The ankle collar is shorter, making it feel more lifestyle than expedition this go round. The paint-splatter midsole also adds a little more detail, and a stitched Stüssy logo at the back confirms the collaboration.

They haven’t stopped at footwear either. There’s an entire wardrobe of co-branded pieces to match, including fleece zip-ups, nylon training pants, reflective jackets, and heavyweight sweats.

The Baltoro’s return also fits neatly into Nike’s current nostalgia kick, where old ACG-era favourites like the Torre Mid and Terra Humara are making comebacks in 2025. Retailing at $155, the Stüssy x Nike Baltoro boot drops globally on Friday at 10 a.m. via Stüssy stores, stussy.com, Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers.
