There’s no denying the excitement that surges within the sneaker world each time news hits about a Travis Scott x Nike hookup. Starting from his debut collaboration on the Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 Low to the more recent partnerships on Air Jordan 1, it’s been a thrilling journey of exclusive launches and high demand. It was simply a matter of time before La Flame earned a signature shoe line with the Jordan Brand, and predictably, the news was met with great anticipation.

You may have already seen multiple variations of the Jumpman Jack sneaker surface since then, from the “Sail” colourway that Travis Scott released during the 2024 GRAMMY Awards to an incredibly eye-catching all-red design that was showcased at Super Bowl 58. However, more notably, the NBA All-Star weekend in February threw up an early glimpse of a stunning “Thunder Blue” version, thanks to the Philadelphia 76ers co-owner and Fanatics bigwig, Michael Rubin. This captivating navy and black rendition of Travis’ signature shoe line is rumoured to have a wider release in the fall and winter seasons, as validated by Just Fresh Kicks.

Colourway Breakdown

This particular variant introduces a more customary colour mix, offering a refreshing change from the subdued, earthy tones that have dominated prior Travis Scott partnerships.

These kicks blend “Thunder Blue” canvas and “Black” tumbled leather overlays across the sneaker’s mid-top structure. Prominent features include the adjustable strap across the midfoot with its distinct embossed logo, Cactus Jack insignia throughout, and Scott’s signature reversed Swoosh in smooth black nubuck on the lateral side. In addition, you won’t miss the Jumpman icon striking his legendary pose on the tongue or the playful ‘Jack’ inscription on the white rubber outsole- a bit reminiscent of Toy Story’s Andy marking his beloved toys, Buzz and Woody.

It’s definitely a release worth taking note of. However, for many hopeful sneaker enthusiasts out there (like myself), eager eyes are still on the all-red design showcased by Scott during Super Bowl 58 earlier this year. Whether the red pair will see the light of day or remain a private reserve for Scott and his close-knit group is yet to be determined.

Nevertheless, fans can look forward to the release of the “Thunder Blue” colourway of the Jordan Jumpman Jack in Fall/Winter 2024. Although we’re still awaiting a precise debut date, this sneaker is projected to be available online via Nike.com as well as at selected Jordan Brand retailers, with a price tag of $200 USD available in men’s sizing.

Over the successive months of the year, we’re looking forward to more variations of the Houston rapper’s signature Jumpman Jack shoe, including the debut colourway that was first released in very limited quantities on Grammy night. But so far, we are most keen on the release of this “Thunder Blue” pair.

If you are, too, then be sure to check back for official pictures and set release dates once they become available. In the interim, follow us here at Sneaker Fortress to stay up to date on all the upcoming sneaker drops and reviews.
