You Will Love The Brown Suede Look Of The Air Jordan 4 "Forest"

Are you keen on levelling up your sneaker style? Well, let me suggest a pair of suede shoes. Yes, the material can be a tad tricky to maintain, but come on, the lavish appeal and plush texture of suede footwear do merit the extra fuss. If you’re prepared to add a suede member to your sneaker clan, Ant Kai’s custom-made Air Jordan 4 “Forest” is definitely worth a look.

What’s Unique About the Sneaker?

Ant Kai is a master of custom sneaker design whose impeccable creations have been worn by high-profile names. You know the viral ‘What the Dunkin’s‘ sneakers that you likely saw all over your feeds? Well, that was none other than Kai’s talent on display. The design was spotted on Hollywood heavyweights such as Tom Brady, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon, solidifying his reputation as a go-to designer for unique, eye-catching footwear.

For his latest custom treat, Kai made the ingenious choice of utilising last year’s Nike SB x AJ 4 “Pine Green” as the base of his design. This influence is visible in the shoe’s green details that appear on the inner linings, midsoles, pull tabs, and eyelets. These green highlights on the lush, brown suede backdrop are undoubtedly what give these sneakers their “Forest” moniker.

Fanning out from this point, the rest of the Air Jordan 4 “Forest” sneaker showcases a delightful mix of brown suede materials. Elvis Presley might have made Blue Suede Shoes famous in his hit song, but the charm of brown suede sneakers is as worthy of its own ballad. This stunning fabric provides style, luxury, and versatility with its neutral brown palette. Though blue might be famous, brown offers more options for matching with your outfits. But let me not get distracted. Let’s swing the spotlight back onto the sneakers at hand.

The choice of suede in different shades of brown across the entire sneaker upper does a splendid job of maintaining interest. The mudguard displays the darkest hue, which lightens and switches textures as you move up through the shoe’s design. The tongue and collar area are finally finished in a warmer brown tone, complemented by similarly shaded laces. The design then beautifully wraps up with a wheat and brown midsole and a dark brown rubber outsole.

Air Jordan 4 “Forest” Release Information

Fortunately for sneaker enthusiasts, these custom sneakers are not a one-off design. Potential buyers can acquire a pair on Ant Kai’s website, available from 6 p.m. PT on Wednesday, 2/28.

Be prepared, however, for a substantial investment, as the custom designs on display on his site typically range from $1500 to $2000. However, if you would love to claim these sneakers (or the accompanying hat) as your own, it is very much possible.

As mentioned above, another cool feature of this launch is a matching cap. This accessory is made of brown corduroy material with green laurel leaves stitched on the brim. The hat also features a simple sail-coloured letter “A” at the front. It is a stylish accessory that perfectly complements the overall aesthetic of the sneaker.
