With World Cup Rugby reaching a fever pitch around the world, including South Africa, a few unique and limited-edition collabs can be seen scattered across many brands. One such collaboration features the continued partnership between adidas and Springbok captain Siya Kolisi. As part of the duo’s 10-year anniversary and that of the RS15 range, the brand has launched the special-edition adidas adiZero RS15 Pro.

The newly released boot pays homage to Kolisi’s roots in the Eastern Cape. His legacy has been imprinted on the design with every stitch. The 10-year anniversary pack includes special detailing across the upper to give it a vibrant aesthetic and meaningful trinkets.
Its upper features a bold colourway with a vignette of colours. Each of these represents the different clubs Kolisi has played for in his career to date. This also includes the Springboks team.
Eargle-eyed fans would’ve picked up an intricate detail on the upper – a map of Kolisi’s hometown, Zwide, is overlayed on the upper. Furthermore, a solid white dot is visible on the left lateral side, which indicates his childhood home. Lastly, the “I ‘heat’ Zwide” text is featured on the heel tab.
The adidas adiZero RS15 Pro is a versatile boot that has a lightweight construction and a design focused on speed. As a result, it caters to the demands of various positions on the field in order to maximise a player’s speed and agility.
Speaking on the anniversary celebrations and the boot that pays homage to his roots, Siya Kolisi had this to say about the partnership:
“I have played in adidas all of my life. I now want to share this incredible moment with all of you. The adidas x Siya Kolisi collaboration is the creation of a remarkable boot. The design is inspired by my journey, however, it goes beyond just representing me – it symbolises hope for children from the same background as mine. It serves as a reminder that regardless of the challenges we face, Impossible is Nothing.”
