This year’s Jordan Brand sneaker releases have undoubtedly been memorable. This is particularly true for the Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo”, which is set to return for the AJ5’s 35th celebrations in 2025.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The Yellow/Multi-Colour Jordan 5 colourway, which debuted in 2011 to celebrate Jordan Tokyo 23 in Japan, is expected to return in two unique variants this year.
While both pairs have the same yellow nubuck uppers, Wolf Grey touches on the tongue, side netting and eyelets, and Black accents on the laces, heel and shark teeth midsole, sneaker insiders @zsneakerheadz believe one will have the classic Jumpman logo at the heel and the other will have Nike Air branding. However, no official confirmation has come from Jordan Brand regarding the release of these beauties, so take this information with a grain of salt.
Other common features include the embroidered Kanji logo on the side and the translucent outsoles below. These kicks should definitely be on every sneakerhead’s radar for 2025.
Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo” Release Details
The “Tokyo” AJ5 is expected to return in fall 2025. The sneakers will cost $210 USD and will be available through Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
But there will be plenty more Jordan 5 releases to celebrate the model’s 35th anniversary. Sneakerheads can expect to see popular classics like the “Grape” and “Fire Red Black Tongue” return this year, as well as new colourways and collaborations such as the “Metallic Gold” and Awake NY x Air Jordan 5. Until then, stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more information on impending Air Jordan 5 releases and more.
