Corpse Bride may not be as overtly Halloween-themed as films typically associated with the spooky season, but its dark and whimsical aesthetic has made it a fan favourite during the annual festivities. Over the years, the film’s characters have become a popular source of Halloween costume inspiration. So, if you’re one of those fans who want to bring the film’s characters to life this year, you need to check out Dariyn Enriquez’s (@dope_don_designs)Corpse Bride x Nike SB Dunk Low sneakers.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

This custom pair features a split shoe design perfectly capturing the two main characters from the Tim Burton film, Victor and Emily.

Victor’s design features a sail base with grey shading to depict his pale face. The overlays then highlight the dark grey colour of his suit, along with the dark edging and ankle studs, to imitate every element on the jacket. Next, the heel tab, Swooshes, and inner lining all have brownish tones that resemble his tie and vest. Finally, a black rubber outsole and a white midsole complete the pair.

Emily’s design, on the other hand, features shades of blue on the base as a nod to her ethereal and ghostly appearance, while the colours on the front overlays and the lace graphic/detailing on the ankle flap are inspired by her wedding dress. Finishing touches include a pair of white and blue soles that complement the ensemble and diamante studs on the ankle flap, which yet again mirror the detailing in her dress. It’s small touches like these that make us want to own every design Enriquez puts out.
