In all honesty, Nike has been on the back foot recently – with their stocks dropping and fans complaining about a lack of innovation in their sneakers. Truth be told, nothing really stands out in their lineup recently, either, except maybe the G-Dragon x Nike Air Force 1 Para-Noise 3.0 collaboration. Just one look at the AF1’s design, and you’ll either fall helplessly in love with it or despise it.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Designed together with the fashion icon, the G-Dragon x Nike Air Force 1 “Para-Noise 3.0” (quite a mouthful) features a sleek black body that serves as a canvas for its vibrant details, which are inspired by K-pop and street art culture. Contrasting sharply with the dark upper, the white midsole is splattered with black paint-like effects smugged onto the sides. In fact, you’ll be forgiven for thinking this is a handcrafted sneaker, as it does look more like a custom than an official release – especially when you look closer at the funky laces.
With the intent of bringing a splash of colour to the dark design of this AF1, each Nike Swoosh on the sneaker boasts a different hue. There’s pink on the lateral side and turquoise (or green) on the medial side.
But that’s not where the surprises end, either. Check out the tongue, and you’ll see G-Dragon’s Daisy emblem – a flower (missing a petal).
G-Dragon x Nike Air Force 1 Para-Noise 3.0 Release Details
Although an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed yet by Nike or G-Dragon, reports suggest that the sneaker will drop during the Fall season of 2024 – in other words, pretty soon. When released, you’ll be able to find them at Nike.com and select retailers for $200 USD in men’s sizes. But you’ll have to be quick. We imagine these are going to fly off shelves.
