Saturday morning cartoons may no longer be part of our daily routine, but sneaker artist Javornie Brathwaite (@jsbthecreator) hopes to revive the nostalgia with his latest creation, the ‘Fred Flintstone’ Air Max 1.
A Closer Look At The Design
Brathwaite has transformed the head of the Flinstones household into a colourful and playful sneaker design that many fans would want to own. Of course, no tribute to Fred would be complete without reference to his characteristic attire. His orange and black tunic covers the quarter panels, heel, and eyestays, while his teal tie accents the Swooshes, vamp, and laces. Nods to his hair and skin colour then appear on the shoe’s tongue, inner lining, and base, rounding out the homage to the renowned cartoon character. Finally, at the heel, the show’s name appears in the customary prehistoric font style.
