Air Jordan fans are about to have their hands (and wallets) full in 2026. Jordan Brand is stacking the release calendar with classics and big comebacks, but few drops have sneakerheads buzzing like the return of the Bin 23 series. The ultra-premium line hasn’t been seen at retail since 2011, when it quietly disappeared after blessing us with high-end takes on the Air Jordan 2, 5, 7, 9, and 13. Now, fifteen years later, the line is finally being revived. And the Air Jordan 8 Retro Prm Bin 23 is proof that the brand is willing to experiment again.
If you’re not familiar with Bin 23, think of it as Jordan Brand’s luxury wing. Each pair was built with premium materials, exclusive colorways, and finished off with the red wax stamp that marked them as part of the club. Back in 2010, Nike described the series as “exceptional releases conceived for the true connoisseur.” Another press release added: “This is where experimental and imagined Air Jordan designs, now aged to perfection, finally spring to life… Each pair is a treasure, worthy of greatness.” That wasn’t just marketing fluff. Pairs like the crocodile-textured Jordan 2 and metallic-finished Jordan 9 instantly became grails.
In 2025, the Bin 23 story is picking back up. Earlier this year, reports confirmed that the Air Jordan 6 would get the Bin 23 treatment, followed by reports of the Jordan 3. Now, the news is official: the Air Jordan 8 Retro Prm Bin 23 is set to release in Fall 2026. The style code is IO2053-300, and retail will be $350. That’s double the $175 price tag of the original Bin 23s.

What will they look like? That’s the fun part. No in-hand images exist yet, but speculative mock-ups show a Fir green suede upper with cream Muslin hits and red detailing. It’s a bold mix that’s already sparked debate online. Some fans have written it off as a “trash Bin 23 colorway,” while others jumped in with Instagram comments like “TOUGH,” “Fire,” and “8s are my favorite so YES.” My personal favorite: someone calling them “Drake 8s.” Honestly, until we see the materials up close, it’s too early to call. If history tells us anything, though, Jordan Brand usually saves its best craftsmanship for Bin releases.
The choice to bring back the 8 makes sense. Jordan Brand has been giving the model some love lately with steady drops of classics. The Aqua 8s returned in July, Bugs Bunny 8s are lined up for November, and next year we’ll see the Cavs 8s join the mix. The Bin 23 8s feel like the crown jewel of this mini run.
So while Fir green might not be everyone’s first pick in terms of a colorway, the return of Bin 23 is about Jordan Brand reviving a forgotten chapter of its history, one wax-stamped pair at a time.
