When it comes to premium Jumpman sneakers, it’s hard to compete with the blend of quality and style delivered by the Dior x Jordan 1 collaboration. This team-up successfully transformed a much-loved silhouette into what many describe as their ultimate grail collab. From the Italian leather uppers to the Dior Oblique jacquard-finished Nike Swoosh, this design was unquestionably the perfect marriage of both brands. All that said, can you imagine the sheer luxury that a Nike Air Jordan 1 x Louis Vuitton sneaker would offer?
Of course, sneakerheads have already been treated to the LV x Nike Air Force 1 collection in 2022, thanks to the late Virgil Abloh. But given Abloh’s ties to Jordan Brand and the Jordan 1, it seems inevitable that the ’80s basketball silhouette would have been the next to get the LV treatment.

This collab isn’t pencilled into any official schedule, but we’ve been lucky enough to have custom sneaker artists envision different takes on what a Louis Vuitton x Air Jordan 1 collab could offer. If anything, the sheer number of custom-designed LV x AJ 1s flooding the sneaker scene is a sign of how much sneakerheads really want this collab to happen.
So far, most designs we’ve seen cover the Air Jordan 1 in LV’s signature monogrammed brown leather. However, Leroy van Drie offers a unique take on the LV x Jordan 1.

The sneaker artist added transparent panels to the quarter panels and toe box, not too dissimilar to the “Invisible Woman” Air Force 1s from the early noughties. But this time, the quarter panels feature LV’s famous monogram pattern.
A matching semi-translucent midsole sits below, adorned with the same ‘floral’ detailing as the side panels. The design also incorporates pebbled leather on the overlays and collar, an LV tag on the tongue, and matching LV hang tags for the laces.

But if there’s one detail that would have every sneakerhead talking, it’s probably the upside-down Swoosh logos at the sides. We’re already quite used to Travis Scott’s reverse Swoosh and Off-White’s semi-detached Swoosh, but there isn’t even a “Rare Air” Jordan 1 release with an upside-down Swoosh. It reminds us of the factory error on the Jordan 1 that went on to sell for $147k USD.
Sadly, these stunning kicks are just a 3D concept created by van Drie (@leroi3) back in 2021. But it’s definitely a look we’d be keen to snatch up if Jordan Brand and Louis Vuitton ever do get to that Jordan 1 design.
