Nike’s Supreme Air Force 1 Is The Laziest Collab Of 2025

Supreme’s latest Air Force 1s drop two plain colorways with logos and branded laces, proving not every collab needs creativity. Or do they?

Nike’s Air Force 1s have been all over the place in 2025. We’ve seen sneakers inspired by houseflies, sea glass with a plastic outer shell, and even the “Invisible Woman 2.0” with a see-through toebox. There’s the “Metalwork” AF1 that looks like it survived a war, and the Corduroy Pack that wraps your feet in, well, corduroy. Some of these are outright wild. Some are just plain clever. And then… there’s the Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Low for fall ’25.

If you were hoping for anything close to that level of creativity, you’re going to be disappointed. Supreme’s latest drop is boring. Really boring. Both colorways (black-on-white and white-on-black) look like the design team just shrugged, slapped a logo on, gave it branded shoelaces, and called it a day. Full-grain leather uppers, contrasting Swooshes, Supreme branding debossed at the heel, alternate laces with repeating branding. That’s it. That’s your whole “collaboration.”

Supreme revealed the preview and lookbook for its fall ’25 collection, and there were barely any footwear teases at all. The collection did include these Air Force 1 Lows, which are, unsurprisingly, the staple of Supreme’s seasonal offerings. Triple-black and triple-white colorways have been restocked endlessly, and there’s been some variation over the years: a wheat colorway in 2021, brown in 2023, and a pair of Air Force 1 Mids in 2024. Summer 2025 even gave us a white Air Force 1 with a leopard-print Swoosh through a collab with Goodenough. But this latest offering? Not exactly memorable.

Supreme and Nike have been working together since 2002, starting with a Nike SB Dunk Low featuring the Air Jordan 3’s elephant print. Over the past two decades, the two brands have teamed up on more than 30 models, from Air Jordans to Air Maxes and Foamposites. Supreme was acquired by EssilorLuxottica in 2024 for $1.5 billion, so money isn’t really the issue here. It’s just creativity.

Social media reactions to the new AF1s were brutally honest. One user on X sarcastically wrote, “Very creative design. An original idea that Air Forces have never done before. These colorways are mind blowingly original. Another successful Supreme design.” Another called it, “No bigger scam than Supreme,” and someone else quipped, “Should’ve kept the box logo red for the white AFs.” A different user summed it up with, “Ultra plain, I assume the leather is stupid nice.”

The new Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Lows don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but the expected retail price is $124. If you’re a collector, you’ll probably still grab them. If you were hoping for something that would stand out on your shelf, or your feet, you might want to keep scrolling. Check out the unreleased Kobe Bryant 2026 AF1 instead.
