Sharkidon “Sail” Is Travis Scott’s First Nike Signature Sneaker

Travis Scott is hitting 2024 at full throttle. With his tour dates selling out in record time, whispers of a new album, and the debut of his signature shoe, the Jordan Jumpman Jack, fans have been kept on the edge of their seats. But just when you thought he couldn’t do more, here comes another big one. This year will see the release of his first signature kicks with Nike: the Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon, featuring a sleek “Sail” colourway.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

The buzz around the Travis Scott x Nike collaboration has been building for some time, with Scott himself fuelling the hype through various social media teasers. But while we’ve caught a few sneak peeks of the “Sail” Sharkidon throughout the year, the release of official images allows us to catch all the beautiful details. 

This colourway is predominantly “Sail”, accentuated with white touches on the midsole, tongue labels, and inner lining. But what keeps things interesting is the mix of textures featured throughout. 

For instance, the quarter panels, toe box, and collar are crafted from smooth leather, while the side of the midfoot strap boasts an open-air mesh finish. Tonal suede overlays complete the look, adding a touch of luxury to the cohesive colourway. 

You’ll find Scott’s signature smiley face logo on the heel. However, the typical reverse Swooshes and Cactus Jack branding on the tongue are noticeably absent (unless my eyes deceive me). 

Despite these missing elements, the new Sharkidon still embodies Travis Scott’s distinctive style. Its retro feel, neutral hues, and thick strap seamlessly fit into Scott’s aesthetic, offering a throwback vibe that fans will instantly latch to. 

Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon “Sail” Release Details

While an exact release date has yet to be confirmed, reports suggest that the Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon “Sail” will drop sometime during the Fall/Holiday season of 2024. When they launch, you’ll be able to grab a pair at Nike.com and select retailers for $170 USD in men’s sizes.
