Purple sneakers might not be the easiest to match with every outfit, but man oh man, do they make a statement. To celebrate the beauty of a sneaker colourways dominated by this regal and bold hue we thought we’d showcase the Air Jordan 3 “Purple Rain” custom by sneaker customisers Savoir-Faire Paris.
For those who may not have heard of them yet, Savoir-Faire Paris is a French luxury sneaker customisation brand who are celebrated for their exceptional designs and attention to detail.

We at Sneaker Fortress have been mesmerised by so many of their unique creations, including their Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “UCLA” custom and their premium Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Batman”. That said, their Air Jordan 3 “Purple Rain” is the one we’re coveting right now.
Savoir-Faire Paris enveloped the silhouette in luxe purple nubuck. Even the mudguard and lateral Swooshes have been dressed in this plush material, though in a darker shade. But the sneaker also sports black tumbled leather on the toe, eyestays, and collar, complemented by medial Swooshes crafted from python leather.
We can’t ignore the embroidered red Swooshes at the heel. This little detail makes the sneaker look a lot more like the Jordan 3s’ answer to Travis Scott’s Friend and Family AJ4 from 2019.

To complete the beautiful look, Savoir-Faire Paris has finished things off with a white midsole and a grey outsole below. Why Jordan Brand hasn’t explored more purple colourways in their Air Jordan 3 lineup is genuinely puzzling. Just look how beautiful it is!
Unfortunately, most of Savoir-Faire Paris’s custom creations are one-of-one designs made upon special request. If you’re interested in commissioning something similar (but not the same), you can contact the brand via their website.

Their customisation prices start at €1,200 (around $1,300.18 USD) and can go up depending on the details or materials you request.
While you mull over the idea of investing in a custom pair, you can draw some more inspiration from designs like the Paisley Nike Air Force 1s, the premium Air Max 1 “Evisu Denim” sneaker, or the luxe Tiffany & Co x Air Jordan 1 design.
