For some time now, the 23s have been left in the shade by Jordan Brand. We hope that 2025 will see a mighty comeback for the sneakers. Right now, though, there’s nothing official to suggest that will happen, so all we can do is hope. Let’s take that opportunity to remember some of the best Air Jordan 23 sneakers of all time.
Air Jordan 23 “Black Stealth”

Considered one of the all-time greats, the Air Jordan Retro 23 “Black Stealth” was released in 2008. This particular sneaker, however, holds another distinction: It was the very first sustainable basketball shoe to hit the market. That made the Black Stealth 23s kind of a big deal.
Air Jordan 23 “Chicago Bulls”

The “Chicago Bulls” colorway, released in 2008, like the Black Stealth, pays homage to Michael Jordan’s time with the Chicago Bulls. The colorway has it all: leather, mesh, cotton, and rubber that brings the whole look together.
Air Jordan XX3 ‘Chicago’

The Air Jordan XX3 Retro from Chicago prominently displays a color scheme of university red, accented with yellow for the gum sole. The upper is all red, with the kind of leather panelling you find on an Italian sports car, and the words “Chi” and “City” in black on the heel, along with a black Chicago skyline.
Air Jordan 23 “All-Star”

The Air Jordan 23 All-Star edition is undoubtedly one of the most well-liked XX3s. Released in limited numbers during the 2008 All-Star weekend, this sneaker boasts a white upper where the signature MJ design is stitched over a single piece of black and red leather.
Air Jordan 23 “CNY Year of the Rabbit”

The Air Jordan 23 Retro ‘Year of the Rabbit’ pays tribute to the Lunar New Year, displaying a sophisticated color palette and contemporary branding elements. The upper, crafted from gray tumbled leather, features tonal stitching and a padded mid-cut collar. The tongue is constructed from white leather with a fine perforation pattern.
Air Jordan 23 “Titan”

The Titan x Air Jordan 23 Retro SP ’10th Anniversary’ is a collaborative design with Manila-based retailer Titan, bringing back the retro hoops shoe that was first released in 2008.
Air Jordan 23 “Trophy Room White”

Marcus, the son of Michael Jordan, was responsible for the colorway of the ‘Trophy Room White’ model. It was produced in an incredibly limited run of just 523 pairs that are individually numbered.
Air Jordan 23 “Solefly Florida Marlins”

The Air Jordan 23 is a special-edition sneaker created by Jordan Brand in collaboration with SoleFly, a Miami-based retailer. The 23 features a colorway that Jordan Brand calls Hyper Turquoise, which is much more vibrant in person than it may appear in photographs. The inspiration for the 23’s colorway actually comes from the warm-up uniforms of the Florida Marlins.
AJ23 Motorsports

The Air Jordan 23 ‘Motorsports’ channels Michael Jordan’s fervor for motorcycle racing and takes on hues from his Motorcycle team.
AJ23 Finale

In December 2008, the Air Jordan 23 ‘Finale’ was released, marking the end of the line of numbered Air Jordans—at least until Jordan Brand decided to revive the practice with the release of the Air Jordan 29. The Chicago Bulls-inspired black and Varsity Red colourway was limited to 529 pairs. To learn more about Air Jordan 23 sneakers, see the full list here: Sneaker Fortress.
