On July 5, 2025, Ozzy Osbourne reunited with the original Black Sabbath lineup for the first time in two decades, performing a farewell show in Birmingham, England, the city where the band formed back in 1968. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a few years ago, Ozzy performed seated on a throne, yet still managed to command the stage. Three weeks later, Ozzy passed away. But before taking his final bow, he left behind something special: the adidas Birmingham “Ozzy Osbourne,” a sneaker made exclusively for his friends and family.
Only 121 pairs exist, fittingly matching Birmingham’s 0121 area code. “There will be no retail release of the shoe,” adidas designer Joe Ling confirmed, making this one of the rarest Ozzy Osbourne collaborations to date.

Everything about the sneaker is inspired by the late singer. Black leather and suede wrap the shoe, while deep purple Three Stripes slash across the sides in a nod to Black Sabbath’s unmistakable style. White contrast stitching gives it a punk edge. Ozzy’s logo appears on the tongue tag and insole, joined by bat graphics, an inside joke for fans who know his infamous on-stage bat-biting moment. Hidden on the tongue, the date “05.07.2025” marks the Back to the Beginning show, and “Up The Villa” pays tribute to Aston Villa Football Club, whose home stadium, Villa Park, hosted the concert. Gold foil embroidery spells out “Birmingham” and “Villa Park” on opposite sides, while each heel features “01/0121,” confirming its ultra-limited status.
For those wondering, this isn’t just a random adidas silhouette either. The adidas Birmingham has a history of its own, debuting in 2010 as part of The Three Stripes’ famed City Series. It has since returned in special colorways, including a 2025 release that nodded to the city’s heavy metal roots with a black and hot pink design inspired by Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album cover. But this latest version, the one gifted by Ozzy, is by far the most meaningful.
Online reactions to the sneakers were very positive too. “Woah! I just like Ozzy’s music and adidas and thought they were sweet sneaks,” one fan posted on Reddit. “Are beatiful,” someone wrote on X. Another simply wrote, “Wow.”
Ozzy always did things his way, and his final gift is exactly that: a sneaker as rare and unforgettable as his last performance.
