In the early 2000s, Nike created two SB Dunk Low sneakers inspired by Homer and Marge from the popular animated TV show The Simpsons. Although these kicks were not an official collaboration with the show, they did incorporate distinct colours and elements that we all associate with the popular characters. The sneakers became so popular that the Swoosh Label decided to release another design in 2022, inspired by none other than their mischievous kid, Bart—another design that became absolutely iconic in the SB lineup. However, there are a handful of beloved characters that the brand has never explored, characters that we are confident fans would love to see brought to life on a pair of sneakers. Thankfully for us, sneaker artist Christian Mazorra of @conceptkickz has taken the liberty of conceptualising what sneakers inspired by characters like Krusty the Clown, Duffman, and Millhouse could look like.

A Closer Look At The Designs
First up is Mazorra’s vibrant rendition of Krusty the Clown. The design incorporates Krusty’s characteristic lime green slacks on the toe box, tongue, and Swoosh, as well as his light purple t-shirt over the overlays. The laces, quarter panels, and collar reflect his green hair and yellow skin tone. Finally, his white gloves and orange shoes round out the colour pattern of the sole unit.
Next is a Duffman variation of the iconic SB Dunk with bold red and blue colours on the toe box and overlays that are reminiscent of his iconic outfit. Shades of yellow then accent the quarter panels, collar, tongue, and laces to reference his skin and hair. This pair is finished with a white sole unit with black stitching to resemble his military boots.
The final pair is a tribute to Bart’s best friend, Milhouse, and features a light purple and orange colour scheme that matches his signature trousers and shirt, as well as blue laces for his hair and yellow for his skin.
The designs also subtly tribute each character’s distinctive traits on the tongue tags, making each pair even more special.
