It’s fitting, then, that a number of his sneaker colourways were tributes to this unparalleled idol. Of course, the first of such tributes was the timeless Kobe 5 “Bruce Lee.”

Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Alternate Bruce Lee” (2020)
This variation of the Kobe design reinvents the iconic Bruce Lee theme, mirroring Lee’s iconic black and white attire in “Enter the Dragon”. Borrowing from the original 2010 Kobe 5 “Bruce Lee” colourway, the black and white design cleverly adds in smidgeons of yellow accent.
Nike Kyrie 3 “Mamba Mentality” (2017)
In 2017, basketball star Kyrie Irving worked with Nike to pay tribute to Kobe Bryant and Bruce Lee with the unique Kyrie 3 “Mamba Mentality” sneaker. The colourway was inspired by Irving’s win at a high school Nike Extravaganza tournament, where he sported Kobe’s Bruce Lee design.

2025 has been a year full of Bruce Lee-inspired colourways, most likely in honour of the martial arts legend’s 85th birthday. Joining the celebrations is an unofficial Jordan 4 RM “Bruce Lee” colourway in yellow, black, and red that references the legend’s signature look.
Nike JA 2 “Let Me Be JA” PE (2025)
Ja Morant also has a Bruce Lee-inspired Ja 2 colourway in his collection. The Memphis Grizzlies point guard debuted his player-exclusive sneakers during a game versus the Timberwolves. While Kobe Bryant’s own Bruce Lee sneakers are the more likely inspiration for this particular colourway, the connection to the martial arts icon is still there.
adidas DON Issue #7 “Bruce Lee” (2025)
Bruce Lee’s iconic jumpsuit also served as inspiration for a black and yellow adidas Don Issue #7 design. The sneaker also features red accents on the branding detailing for added flair.

Like many of the Bruce Lee-inspired sneakers on this list, the women’s-exclusive Air Max Muse features a black and yellow upper with red accents.

The Bruce Lee Green Dragon Nike Air Jordan 1 LUX lands with a fresh twist on a classic tribute. We’ve seen the black, yellow, and red version before, but this one flips the palette while keeping the satin luxe finish intact. The outsole and midsole come in clean white, grounding the look and making the details pop. White shows up again on the laces, keeping the upper balanced against the bold green panels. Every angle of this sneaker feels intentional, like it was built for someone who appreciates subtle sophistication while still nodding to a martial arts legend.

Back in 2023, Jeff Staple also tapped into Lee’s signature aesthetics for a collab on the PUMA Suede. Although it only borrows from the martial artist (not an official linkup), the dragon on the tongue makes it feel like more of a tribute to Bruce Lee.

These futuristic kicks may not have official ties to Lee, but the yellow and black combo has earned this colourway ties to the martial arts legend. They haven’t even been released yet. You can still grab a pair in spring and summer 2026.

One thing Nike and Jordan aren’t short of is “Bruce Lee” inspired colourways. Jayson Tatum’s fourth signature sneaker has also been dipped in Lee’s yellow, black, and red palette. The design even comes with a set of red laces to play into the combo.
Nike Ja 3 “Bruce Lee”
Ja Morant’s third signature sneaker has received a yellow, black, and red makeover that has instantly earned it the nickname “Bruce Lee”. The colourway isn’t actually inspired by the late great martial arts legend, but it’s hard to argue that the title doesn’t fit.
