While the Los Angeles Lakers ran through the Utah Jazz 131-107 on April 13, 2026, 21-year-old guard and son of LeBron James, Bronny James, casually dropped 11 points and four assists off the bench… and then made headlines with his sneakers: The Nike LeBron IX Witness PER, a fresh pair of player exclusives.
This, of course, isn’t just another colourway. Before his freshman season with the USC Trojans, Bronny collapsed at the Galen Center on July 24, 2023 due to cardiac arrest (a congenital heart defect). He spent four days in hospital, but five months later, he was back playing basketball.

Nike took notes and worked that into the new PE sneakers. The Nike LeBron IX Witness PER has a tan upper layered in digital patterns and textured materials. You’ll find two reverse Swooshes are on the side, one subtle and one metallic. “Bronny” sits on the toebox like a signature, while his logo on the heel pops in red.
Instagram comments about the Nike LeBron IX Witness PER rolled in fast: “That’s fire,” “Need em!!!!” and one that pretty much summed it up, “Getting your son his own PE is a flex.”
If you’ve been following the Nike LeBron Witness 9 line, you’ll recognise the base: ReactX cushioning, lightweight build, solid grip for indoor and outdoor runs. It’s still LeBron’s budget-friendly performance lane, but Bronny is clearly shaping it into something that feels like his.

There’s no release date as yet. Nike’s keeping this one close for now. But with LeBron James still leading the flagship line and Bronny carving out space in the Witness series, it feels like more drops are coming.
