When it comes to sneaker collaborations, few things are more thrilling than the fusion of iconic comic book characters and major footwear brands. Last year, we witnessed several buzzworthy releases, including the “Venomised” adidas Ultra 4D, designed for the Marvel Spider-Man 2 launch. While it resonated with fans, the concept had room for more creativity. Enter Dariyn Enriquez (@dope_don_designs), who has perfected the Spider-Man x Venom theme using the classic Nike Dunk Low silhouette.
A Closer Look at the Sneaker
For his interpretation, Enriquez covers one-half of the Dunk Low in classic dark blue and red hues to mirror Spider-Man’s iconic look—complete with web detailing on the quarter panels. The other half, however, is wrapped in an intimidating black-and-white scheme, symbolising the ominous Venom symbiote.
To emphasise Venom’s takeover, Enriquez incorporates black tendrils creeping from the midsole towards the toe box and adding black laces to create a webbed effect.
Other standout features include a white Swoosh with a bold black outline on the lateral side, mimicking Spidey’s eyes, while jagged Swooshes on the medial side replicate Venom’s. The sneaker is finished with a sail midsole and black rubber outsole, offering the perfect final touch.
