Sneaker trends in 2025 are leaning towards the experimental. The latest designs often look like they were inspired by some of our favourite sci-fi movies over the last decade. Adidas started it with Yeezys, but Nike seems determined to catch up, and maybe even outdo them. The Nike Air Max Muse might be its boldest women’s-exclusive silhouette yet. Since its debut in September 2025, the chunky-meets-streamlined sneaker has been turning heads for its metallic paneling, sleek arch, and exaggerated proportions that show off the Air technology in the heel. It’s futuristic, sure, but it’s also surprisingly wearable, at least according to the two stars fronting the new fall campaign.
Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and Grammy-winning singer Tyla are the faces of Nike’s latest push for the Air Max Muse, and both have been tied to the model since day one. Chiles famously laced them up while throwing the first pitch at a New York Mets game last September, instantly giving the shoe mainstream attention. Her verdict on the new release? “The Air Max Muse is one of the dopest shoes I’ve seen.” Coming from a gymnast who literally flips through the air for a living, that’s high praise.

Tyla’s endorsement hits a different note. The South African pop star has been spotted in multiple colorways and loves how easy it is to dress up or down. “I love the Air Max Muse because it’s very stylish and unique,” she said. “Because of the colors, the silhouette goes with a lot of things, and it’s super comfortable. It feels like a running shoe, like a workout shoe, but it’s not. It’s something that you can wear out.” Between the futuristic semi-gloss finish, the bold arch, and breathable mesh panels, the Muse straddles that perfect line between performance and lifestyle.
Nike designer Can Eldem explained the vision back in November: “Our goal was to design an entirely new Air Max model focused on both expression and comfort, making the silhouette uniquely hers—sleek, beautiful and bold—while offering the kind of innovation and cushion that she expects from the Air Max franchise.”

If you’re thinking of grabbing a pair, there’s no shortage of options. The standard Nike Air Max Muse retails for $170, while the SE (special edition) versions, like the collaboration with designer Veneda Carter, go for $180. Nike has already teased more colorways dropping later this year, so expect the lineup to expand quickly.
