Reebok is back! If the sell-out sneakers and the Angel Reese campaigns haven’t proved it, Lauren Betts’ new deal with the sports company certainly does. Announced on April 15th via social media, Reebok has signed the 6’7” 22-year-old WNBA player fresh off being drafted fourth overall by the Washington Mystics. And it’s big news, especially for sneakerheads!
Angel Reese started the movement in 2024 with her own Reebok deal, which, as we know, led to her signature shoe, the Angel Reese 1, selling out in virtually every colorway that dropped… in seconds. Reebok and Betts will probably follow the very same blueprint. She joins the roster of female Reebok NBA stars like Aneesah Morrow, Dijonai Carrington and Lexie Brown.
Reese took to socials to congratulate Betts on joining the Reebok family, posting “AHHHH! What’s up CHAMP!”
Betts, who won National Defensive Player of the Year during her time at UCLA Bruins, has become one of the best defensive women’s basketball players. She even helped deliver UCLA’s first NCAA title. That 35-point explosion against Oklahoma State? Yes, it happened.
“They’re going to take good care of me here… just making sure that I’m taking extra care of my body,” Betts said, already sounding like someone planning for a long season. She’s also clear about her goal: “The best version of me.”

And she’s starting off well. Betts is in good company. She joins a long list of women’s basketball players whose names appear on sneaker boxes, including Caitlin Clark, Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu.
Of course, it’s too early for a Lauren Betts signature shoe from Reebok. But it’s definitely coming. And hopefully soon.
